Firstly, apparently if you’re in ketosis, then the liver isn’t doing as much of whatever it does to fight alcohol comparing to when you’re not in ketosis. The effect? You get more drunk, and apparently your alcohol levels in blood can be 3-5 times higher, than if you were on carb diet. This means there’s more damage from less alcohol. You’ll feel shit next day too, and are more likely to eat shit, that will drop your ketones, even more shitty feeling. Also, some people drink to have more energy, and hitting that 1.6mmol and above, of blood ketones via correct keto diet, might actually give you that same energy. Think about it, pay attention to yourself.
It’s your journey, if you want to try it, then go for it, just remember that you can get alcohol poisoning quicker and to a more severe degree and there’s no positive effect from booze, and for resveratrol in red wine…you’d have to drink 2000 bottles of red wine in one go to get the physiological dose of resveratrol that would have any positive effects.
